Elvaco delivers successful solution for passive house in Kiruna
The "Seventh House" in Tuolluvaara just outside Kiruna is Sweden's most northern passive house and is a collaborative project between NCC, Kiruna Municipality and Luleå Technical University.
The house is based on NCC's concept for energy efficient and environmentally friendly houses.
Elvaco has delivered a metering system and a variety of temperature sensors for the project. We have made special sensors for mounting in the ceiling joists, floors, roofs and attics to find thermal bridges and see the actual U-values. We have also delivered both wired and wireless meters for electricity and heating as well as our gateways CMe3100 and CMeX50.
Building passive houses in Kiruna requires great adaptation due to the subarctic climate. See more about the project and our products in the report from Swedish TV4.
