Changes in how we handle security keys

As a step to strengthen our security concept even further, we will now also include the management of security keys for our Wireless M-Bus and Sensor products into our Key Management System, that today is used for LoRaWAN and NB-IoT products.

This means that when you purchase these products from Elvaco, you will be introduced to our Key Management System to download the security keys required to operate the products. At the same time, we simplify and clarify the process to get access to the system and download the keys. In the order confirmation, you will be notified to whom (what e-mail address) we will send the information needed to download the security keys. 

If you do not already have an account in our Key Management System, it will be the person placing the order that will be the one receiving an invitation to create an account as well as the information needed to download related security keys. Please note that if you would like to direct the information to someone else you need to contact our order department order@elvaco.se in due time prior to dispatch. 

We recommend, if possible, that you set up a group e-mail to which all information from our Key management System is distributed. This is to ensure that the e-mail address is valid over time and information won’t be lost. This address can be set as default in our system so that we distribute all security key information to this address for all your future orders. 

To simplify the process, we also synchronize the e-mail communication (invitation to system and batch information) and dispatch of goods. The validity time for the invite is also extended and stated in the invitation e-mail. In all communication, you also get access to information and instructions on how to interact with our Key Management System in an efficient way. 

All these changes will be valid from May 1st, 2023.
