CMe2100 GPRS
As an M-Bus metering gateway for mobile networks, the CMe2100 GPRS is an elementary component of the infrastructure of a modern M-Bus measurement system. Using the GPRS transmission protocol, the gateway transmits the collected data from up to 128 M-Bus meters to a receiving system. Numerous settings can be individually configured. Thanks to an IR interface, the CMe2100 GPRS is wirelessly compatible with various other devices as well as electricity meters.
CMe2100 GPRS M-Bus Metering Gateway for Mobile Networks
The CMe2100 GPRS has a compact housing made of robust polyamide, which blends discreetly into its surroundings. Communication with the user takes place via simple LED signals, wherein different colors can indicate the current status of the measurement system or an error message. The user-friendly interface allows easy reading, functional testing and configuration of the M-Bus Metering Gateway. Depending on the number of meters that the CMe2100 GPRS reads out at the same time, the data collected is stored over a certain period of time. While the data from 128 meters is available and retrievable for four days, the data from just one meter is stored for a full 500 days. With the built-in pushbutton, the CMe2100 GPRS can be reset to factory settings if an unknown or unsolvable problem occurs.

More information
As a powerful and cost-effective M-Bus Metering Gateway, the CMe2100 GPRS reads up to 128 M-Bus meters via a mobile network. In this way, it makes the communication paths of the M-Bus meters and thus the remote meter reading particularly simple and efficient, as it is less susceptible to faults and has a very long service life. The CMe2100 GPRS compiles the collected meter data according to a specific schedule into individual reports, which are transmitted to the receiver using GPRS technology.
Thanks to the integrated IR interface, wireless communication is also possible with products from the Elvaco CMe/CMeX series, ABB electricity meters and various external meters based on M-Bus technology. The model is conveniently configured and updated remotely, using text messages or HTTP. As a result, the CMe2100 GPRS can be handled comfortably without having to visit the installation site.
In addition to location-independent evaluation, monitoring and configuration, the model's hardware is also impressive. The compact housing made of polyamide is robust, durable and space-saving. Equipped with simple LED signals, the system informs about its current status during operation and immediately displays any faults that occur. The hardware interface of the model is completed by a built-in pushbutton, which can be used to reset the M-Bus gateway to its factory state in order to solve unknown problems in the last instance.
